Worth every penny! (11/21/2014)
This stock completely changes the balance of the Mossberg 930. I had the Choate stock, which was long, awkward, had a horrible pistol grip, and just down right fugly. This stock drastically reduces felt recoil and gives the 930 better balance (not so front heavy). The instructions are very detailed, and if you run into a problem, the helpful people at Mesa Tactical will talk you through it! Great people, amazing product, and awesome customer service. I can't tell you how much this stock improved the ergonomics of my Mossy. Not to mention that is looks way better now. "The poor man's Benelli"
Nice pistol grip stock(7/19/2015)
After buying my Mossberg 930, I was in the market for a pistol stock and came upon the Urbino brand. I decide to make the purchase and since installing it, I like the feel and overall weight of the weapon. I do have, however, a bit of concern for the sling mount that is placed into the slot towards the rear of the stock. It rattles and for the intended use of my shotgun, I do not like the extra noise it makes. The choice of the other mounting point adapters (directly behind the receiver) are good to have. Overall, if it weren't for the rattling piece, I would've given this product a 5 star rating.
Urbino for a M1S90 HK/Benelli(3/9/2012)
Shortened LOP greatly improves handling; especially for average build shooters. So much better/faster to shoulder than with the OEM stock. An absolute must for the Benelli when wearing body armor.
With the HK M1S90 and no optics, you don't need the cheek weld riser so now you have the ridges on each side for nothing. The rear of the pistol grip is a bit square but for me wasn't a deal breaker. Lastly, although the fit is great, there's a gap between the rear of the trigger guard and the pistol grip that doesn't effect performance but just doesn't look good either. This may only be the case for the M1S90 and not the other Benellis.
Bottomline: The Urbino greatly enhances performance and that alone makes it worth it.
5 stars after 4 months(7/5/2012)
4 months and lots of rounds later, I can't imagine shooting the Benelli without the Urbino stock. Shouldering and overall handling is greatly improved. Cheek riser does work comfortably with or without optics.
Not for every M1 or M3(7/12/2012)
I love this stock on my 870, but it will not fit my HK marked M1 or M3. The trigger guard sticks out to far on both. There is a disclaimer in the instructions about this that they don't mention. Oh well, thank God for the 100 percent satisfaction and free return shipping.
Awesome Stock(7/14/2012)
I put this on my M3 that I use for 3 gun. Great stock looks factory and feels better. But pad clicks into place and allows you to store extra shells in the stock or wrenches or tools or anything else you may want to put in there that will fit and allows easy access.
m1/m2 urbino stock(9/15/2013)
Bought a 1201 fp beretta 12 ga shotgun and this stock fits it perfect.the pistol grip is easy to grab on to not slick and takes away felt recoil. They are making one for mossberg 930 spx and I will have one for it also.
Buy this stock(7/6/2011)
I just put this stock on my Home defense/ Duty Shotgun and I have to say I'm blown away. This stock is very well built and has got to be the most comfortable stock I've ever had on an 870. The only thing that I don't like is that it doesn't come with a hook sling adapter.
Buy It!(7/16/2011)
This is the best stock that you can get for a tactical shotgun. The length of pull is perfect, the fit is excellent and it looks awesome.
urbino tactical for 870P with cheek rise(11/18/2011)
I replaced a Knoxx Stock withe the Urbino on my duty 870P. For me it had the perfect length of pull with body armor, and the cheek riser on the third from bottom setting gives me perfect sight picture with zero guessing for rifle sights. I would not run any other stock regardless of price. I also love how the single loop sling attachment adds no length to shotgun.
Excellent, comfortable stock(11/18/2011)
I bought this about a year ago (not from Brownells, mind you) for my Remington 870 Shotgun. After a years worth of use I can tell you I am still thrilled I bought it.Assembly was a little more difficult for me, as they send you parts to also use on the Remington 1100, and there are no pictures in the assembly guide to help you through it. But after 30 minutes or so, I finally got the hang of it and had it together. You can purchase the stock with or without the Cheekpiece riser (at least you can if you buy it from [@]). While it is cheaper without the riser, you do not have the option to add it later if you want to, as they put the rails on the stock for it while molding it. I chose to add the riser for about $15 more, and then you can simply remove it if you do not like it. Comfort and easy of use are outstanding. The Limbsaver recoil pad is really worth the extra cash. It lightens 3" Slugs and Buckshot to a point that you will question if you have the heavy loads in the gun or not. The handgrip also gives you so much more control over the gun. If easy to hold the gun up with the grip and reload while still in the ready position. As another reviewer mentioned, the Length of Pull is just perfect for me. It feels like a shotgun should, packed tightly and you aren't reaching out for it. Also, the way the stock is designed it tapers down from the receiver, this makes it so much easier to get behind it and use the sights (or in my case, red dot). All in all, I think this is a fantastic product, and if you a Remington 870, you need one!
Great(11/21/2011)
Grip is a little boxier than i would like. Great product. Goes nice on my HD 870
Great product for all uses(12/25/2011)
Easy to install and feels rock solid once mounted. The adjustable riser is great for any sighting system
Excellent Quality Good Feel(3/29/2012)
I use this product on my M870 as well as my Fabarms shotgun with the adapter. The length of pull is perfect and the plastic is super hard and unbendable. The plastic will chip, but it wont bend or feel rubbery and cheap. It is also made in my home state of California, so every purchase will support the state of the union. Only issue I have with it is when you install it you have to be careful to align the nut into the steel sling holder or it will fall out.
Great Stock.(4/5/2012)
Fit easily, the limbsaver buttpad fells great, the easily adjustable cheek riser is a huge plus to anyone running red dot optics, and the shorter length of pull took a few inches off the total length of my shotgun. In my opinion this is the best aftermarket stock out there from all the ones that I have seen, felt, and or shot.
870, 1100, or 11-87(4/7/2012)
This fits the 870, 1100, or the 11-87.
I put this on my 11-87, I can't wait to get it out and try it.
Has always been a reach when hunting with the factory stock and a heavy coat. No more and pull it up and it points perfectly.
The best 870 stock hands down!(9/4/2014)
I've been through a lot of 870 accessories on my old-school Express. Here's a list of stocks in order: Factory OEM stock, Choate polymer side-folder, Knoxx, Speedfeed, Hogue, Pachmyr, ATI Talon, Mesa Tactical AR grip/stock converter, and most recently, the Magpul SGA. I couldn't get used to the SGA. It made my 870 feel more like a guitar than a shotgun. Every time I brought it up to aim, it felt like I was shouldering a boat paddle. Desperate, I gave in and bought an Urbino - originally I didn't like the looks of it and heard that it was heavy. Man, let me tell you: I wish I had saved my money on the last two stock options and pulled the trigger on this stock, because it is the mother of all stocks. My 870 finally feels like beast that it is. I've put a lot of money into it, trying various parts and configurations. Now I have a 7+1 (the barrel is flush with the mag tube) 18" BEAUTIFUL shotgun that is solid and shoots like a dream. If you're trying to decide between this and the Magpul (which is what I did at first and made the wrong decision), go with this one. I'm 6'1" by the way, and I actually prefer the shorter LOP and slimmer profile.
Mesa tactical Urbino Stock(6/20/2015)
Brought for my 870 and it is awesome stock
Avoid Purchase for Benelli M2(3/13/2017)
This product requires permanent modification to install on Benelli M2. Not sure why a product requires drill bit and needs additional modification for common shotgun and parts are not included. Once installed, parts separate to any modifications such as cheek riser shattered in user's face on second shot. This product will not handle high-brass loads or slugs.
11/10(1/10/2018)
This stock made me love my shotgun again. This replaced my third butt stock from ATI and i just absolutely hated each one. Everything ATI makes is garbage and i wish i hadn't wasted all that money because they look cool and just gone straight for this one. Shotguns don't need any adjustable stock for 99% of people and the 12.5 inch length of pull on this one is perfect for tactical applications and even works great it you're wearing body armor. Fantastic.
Urbino Tactical Stock(5/17/2011)
First and foremost, this stock is insanely comfortable. It has about a 2 inch shorter LOP than the original Benelli stock. The adjustable riser is very simple yet very effective. It's durable and will not come loose. The different heights can accomodate all body types and all optics. The Limbsaver is a magnificient addition that significantly reduces recoil and makes even 3" full power loads rather manageable. The plastic it is made from is quite durable and take just about any pounding you can throw at it. The material is actually the same kind that Surefire uses in its products. I really can't say enough about this stock. It is a vast improvement over both the solid and collapsible Benelli stocks. I would highly recommend spending the extra money to get the cheek riser and Limbsaver over the other models. Also, would strongly recommend replacing the grip sleeve with the OEM Benelli model. This will not count against 922(r) as the sleeves are not called out in the list.
Urbino Tactical Stock Grip Sleeve(3/16/2012)
This is the same Steve that wrote the review back in May 2011. I just wanted to follow up and let buyers know that Mesa Tactical has listened to the reviews from its customers and is working on the grip sleeve. I was granted the opportunity to test one of their prototypes and they have nailed it. The grip is super comfortable, even better than the Benelly OEM version. It is still squared off in the back but is made of a softer rubber that absorbs recoil beautifully and provides very positive grip.
Great product for Benelli M4(12/31/2012)
I looked at this product on youtube before placing my order. I didn't want to junk up my $2000 M4 with a cheap aftermarket butt stock. I was not disappointed. The 2" shortened length was just what I needed to more easily shoulder the gun. I was worried about the cheek riser being loose and flimsey but it was not. No issues with assembly, however I did add a drop of blue locktite to the threads. This is an injection molded part and you can see the swirls of the nylon in the part. The Benelli stock is uniform in color and appearance...not sure how it is produced. I still rate the Urbino 5 stars. Also added the mag extension and 1/2" bolt release from Freedom Fighters and a Aimpoint T1 with high LaRue mount to finish this gun for 3 gun competition.
